This position is for a local seasonal Class A CDL driver, with full-time hours, pulling a van trailer. Drivers are loaded daily, make their deliveries, and return home in the afternoons/evenings. We are a seasonal agricultural business, so there are some very busy weeks, and some slower weeks. A few Saturdays would be required. Some overtime pay can be expected. The season typically gets busy sometime in April, and starts slowing down sometime in July.
Primary Responsibilities:
Make your deliveries in a safe and efficient manner
Abide by all DOT regulations
Ensure accurate shipments by getting to know whats in your trailer, and whats on your BOLs
Maintain equipment to the highest standards
Work closely with the warehouse staff to meet daily goals and ensure customer needs are met
Qualifications:
Class A CDL w/ airbrakes, Hazmat, and tanker endorsements
At least 6 months verifiable driving experience
Must pass a drug test, and DOT physical
Good appearance, communication skills and demeanor towards co-workers and customers
Excel in a fast paced work environment
Must be able to climb in and out of a van trailer, operate pallet jack, and lift 50lbs
