Candidate must be able to handle routine maintenance and general repairs so as to perform maintenance on equipment in the off-season, so it is ready to go before the next crop season. The primary responsibility of this position is the operation of equipment used in planting thru harvesting of grain. The duties of the position vary with the seasons and the needs of the operation, so it is important this individual is willing to adapt to changing circumstances, is flexible and have a good attitude. The farm also operates a large custom operation, and you will be required to interact and meet customer needs.

The work is seasonally demanding, during certain times of the year the hours vary and can be long for periods of time.

It is expected that this position will develop into crew leadership opportunities.

Farm runs all late model John Deere equipment with excellent facilities. Larger farm growing corn, soybeans, small grains, oilseeds and specialty crops. Field duties can include tillage, rock picking, seeding, planting, spraying, combining, chopping silage, trucking and more.

Pay is 80k+/-per year depending on the experience in row crop production and hours worked. Operation is located near large city and churches, schools, nice towns and good people. Good opportunity for spouse to find employment in the area.
