The Norwegian Elkhound is a MEDIUM-SIZED member of the spitz family (dogs with a wolfish face, prick ears, thick coat, and curled tail). They are bold and energetic, and an effective guardian yet friendly. The Norwegian Elkhound is a square and athletic hunting member of the northern dog family. Their unique coloring, weather resistant coat and stable disposition make them an ideal multipurpose dog at work or at play.
